Oscars Red Carpet - Get the Look... You can wear designer too!

Last night was the biggest night in the movie industry calendar, and we saw A-List celebrities in more designer gowns for THE award ceremony of the season - the Oscars. Congratulations to all those that won one of the prestigious solid gold Oscars, but to be honest, we were more excited about who was wearing what and how on the red carpet (and the post-party gossip!)

So onto the clothes... the clothes choices generally reflected the theme of the evening: hollywoods golden era with classic, elegant pieces with a modern twist. The key trends that we picked out aren't so dissimilar from those we've seen already: nude, print, floor-length and metallic. Here's what we loved and how you can get that red carpet look...

BE BOLD IN PRINT

Maggie Gyllenhaal (left) looked fabulous in this blue satin mermaid-tail dress from Dries Van Noten and Rachel MacAdams (right) equally as show-stopping in her gown from Elie Saab. Incorporating two of the key trends this season: floor length and print, we think they made beautiful yet bold statements on the red carpet at the Oscars. Get their looks from Dresseduptothe9s.com with these brilliant mini’s from designers MaxMara and Mulberry for only £45 & £35!

Nicole Richie glided across the red carpet in this fabulously conservative backless Reem Acra dress which you can copy wearing the insetted Missoni dress for £55

GO NUDE! (not literally)

(L-R) Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta; Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive; Demi Moore in Atelier Versace; Kate Winslet in YSL

(L-R) Diane Kruger in Chanel Haute Couture; Amanda Seyfried in Armani Privel; Julianne Moore in Calvin Klein

(L-R) Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab; Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Haute Couture; Sandra Bullock in Marchesa; Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packman

Check out the nude dresses from Dresseduptothe9s.com (L-R): Hoss Intropia (£35); Amanda Wakeley (£85); Paule Ka (£45); Sportmax (£35); Moschino (£35)

And here a just some we Loved!

From afar it's just a strapless black dress but when you look up close this you notice the fine detail in this Prada gown Carey Mulligan wore.

Penelope Cruz always looks flawless (seriously, how does she do it?!) and looking a million dollars in Donna Karen, she was no exception last night!
